Each Sunday, you will find opportunities to worship individually, with your family, or with small groups. Although we are physically separated from one another, we are united in prayer and praise.
In Jesus’ name, welcome!
First-time participant or one who’s been here many days; child or elder or somewhere in-between; stewards, caretakers, disciples of Jesus, children of God— neighbours all, loved and loving. Welcome. Welcome in Christ’s name!
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Love of God, and the power and presence of the Holy Spirit, be with you all.
Amateur choir – Clymer girls singing at Cove Valley Reunion, 2007
1 Jesus, stand among us
in thy risen pow’r;
let this time of worship
be a hallowed hour.
2 Breathe the Holy Spirit
into ev’ry heart;
bid the fears and sorrows
from each soul depart.
3 Thus with quickened footsteps
we’ll pursue our way,
watching for the dawning
of eternal day.
To prepare ourselves, join me in the Prayer of the Three Deep Breaths!
Take a deep breath, and as you breathe out say, “Thank you, Creator.”
Thank you, Creator.
Take a deep breath, and as you breathe out say, “Thank you, Jesus Christ.”
Thank you, Jesus Christ.
Take a deep breath, and as you breathe out say, “Thank you, Holy Spirit.”
Thank you, Holy Spirit.
Thank you, loving God, for being with us, always, and helping us to make time in this place. We ask you to help us remember all the moments of gratitude that have filled this week, and we ask you to help us look forward to all of the moments of gratitude that are still to come. Blessed are you, forever and ever. And the people said—
Ride on, Ride on in Majesty
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MD9rMkIS1yw Ride on, Ride on in Majesty – WITH LYRICS
1 Ride on, ride on in majesty!
Hark! all the tribes hosanna cry;
O Savior meek, pursue your road
with palms and scattered garments strowed.
2 Ride on, ride on in majesty!
In lowly pomp ride on to die:
O Christ, your triumphs now begin
o’er captive death and conquered sin.
3 Ride on, ride on in majesty!
The winged squadrons of the sky
look down with sad and wond’ring eyes
to see th’approaching sacrifice.
4 Ride on, ride on in majesty!
Your last and fiercest strife is nigh;
the Father on his sapphire throne
expects his own anointed Son.
5 Ride on, ride on in majesty!
In lowly pomp ride on to die;
bow your meek head to mortal pain,
then take, O God, your pow’r and reign.
CALL TO WORSHIP: Psalm 118:1-2, 19-29
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God,
and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
And also with you.
Give thanks to God, for God is good:
God’s love lasts forever!
Open to us the gates of righteousness, and we will enter;
We will give thanks to God!
This is the gate of God, and God’s righteous people will enter
We will give thanks to you,
for you have answered us when we pray,
and you have become our salvation.
The stone which the builders rejected
Has become the chief cornerstone
This is God’s work, and it is marvellous to see!
This is the day the Lord has made,
We will rejoice and be glad in it
Blessed is the one who come in the name of the Lord
You are our God, we will give you thanks and praise
O give thanks to God for God is good;
God’s love endures forever!.
PRAYER OF APPROACH AND CONFESSION
Holy One, speak to us again
as we read of the suffering and death of Jesus.
May we hear your Word
above the shouts of the crowd,
and hearing, may we follow faithfully,
even to the cross.
We pray in the name of Jesus,
who died for us. Amen.
Judge us, O God, by your gracious love.
Forgive us, O God, and set us free. Amen.
- Gospel reading
Hosanna, loud Hosanna
1 Hosanna, loud hosanna
the little children sang;
through pillared court and temple
the lovely anthem rang.
To Jesus, who had blessed them,
close folded to his breast,
the children sang their praises,
the simplest and the best.
2 From Olivet they followed
mid an exultant crowd,
the victory palm branch waving,
and chanting clear and loud.
The Lord of earth and heaven
rode on in lowly state,
nor scorned that little children
should on his bidding wait.
3 “Hosanna in the highest!”
That ancient song we sing,
for Christ is our Redeemer,
the Lord of heaven, our King.
O may we ever praise him
with heart and life and voice,
and in his blissful presence

Special Music: The Great Parade!
Sermon Rev. Dr. Neil Parker
“Get out, join the parade. At an appropriate distance”
Affirmation of Faith
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord.
He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again.
He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy universal Christian church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.

Prayers of the People
Lead us from death to life, from falsehood to truth.
Lead us from despair to hope, from fear to trust.
Lead us from hate to love, from war to peace.
Let peace fill our hearts, our world, our universe.
Lord’s Prayer in the language of your heart
Hymn of Praise
All glory, laud and honour
All glory, laud, and honor
to you, Redeemer, King,
to whom the lips of children
made sweet hosannas ring.
You are the King of Israel
and David’s royal Son,
now in the Lord’s name coming,
the King and Blessed One.
The company of angels
is praising you on high;
and we with all creation
in chorus make reply.
The people of the Hebrews
with palms before you went;
our praise and prayer and anthems
before you we present.
To you before your passion
they sang their hymns of praise;
to you, now high exalted,
our melody we raise.
As you received their praises,
accept the prayers we bring,
for you delight in goodness,
O good and gracious King!
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the power and presence of the Holy Spirit, be with you all.
And also with you.
Go in peace, to love and serve the Lord.
Thanks be to God.
Closing Hymn: Sanna, Sannina
Because you don’t want to get this out of your head!
And, yes, these are our brothers and sisters in Vienna.
