THE WHOLE IS ONLY AS GOOD AS ITS PARTS!
As of 1 September, the VCC starts a new era in which the VCC has its own dedicated meeting space and Pastor’s office with the VCC Meeting Point, and a new Manse that is exclusively used as a comfortable and pleasant private space for our minister and his or her spouse. This plan was supported by the congregation and we should be proud of what has been accomplished!
We have had many angels who stepped in at the right moment when things needed to be done – either with physical labour, time, or financial assistance. Also, financially, the VCC did not have to pay any agent’s fees for the new manse, or double rent, as the new landlord gave us 2 months free rent and the old landlord let us out of the lease 1 month early.
It was six weeks of long and hot summer days, sorting, cleaning, organising and reorganising, disposing of unuseable or inappropriate items, planning, replacing items, comparing prices, moving, setbacks, etc.. It could not have been done without the help of the following people (core team in Red) who not only provided their time, building skills (alias, Tony Wrixon, Mary Geissler), and/or also, funds, in-kind donations, and items to make the Manse a very liveable place. We continue to get generous offers of assistance for both the Manse and Meeting Point:
Brigitte Abbuehl, Linda Bednar, Sonja Botha, Johan & Sonja Botha, Mary Geissler, Wolfgang Geissler, Helma Giannone, Jacqui Grainge, Rosalind Laimer, Rosalind & Christoph Laimer, Ronan Le Bras, Ardeith Meier, Dainis Michel, Christian Mund, Fred Nowacki, Anne Peschek, Anne Storey, Jürgen Teubenbacher, Jörg Wollmann, Christine & George Vohryzka, Donna Wall, Hana Wiberg, Tony Wrixon, Nicole Wrixon, Tony & Nicole Wrixon, and Rainer Zimmerman.
We still need some items and any support will be appreciated:
- Funds to finance the signage for The VCC Meeting Point
- Security entry system for The VCC Meeting Point (with a good system, we can start renting the Meeting Point out to 3rd parties for exhibitions, events, etc..)

Lastly, on behalf of the VCC Board, I would like to pay tribute to our long time members, who were responsible for VCC property issues for many, many years and set the pace for their dedication and service in this area, as well as in other areas, in service to The Vienna Community Church. In particular, Louise and Heinz Pickart and Nita and Erich Schimscha.
